Ideas
- Allow the use of the TomTom with aviation maps, essentially replacing expensive aviation gps (£1500)
- support TomTom ONE (seems like we have to buy one...). In the meantime, look at the TomTom ONE patch
- create a simple but effective and solid MP3 player software for the TTG (in the works)
- Reason: combined with the official GO car kit, we'll have a MP3 player which is connected to the car hifi system
- support TomTom GO 300 (still doesn't work)
- use a USB DVB-T receiver to view tv on tomtom
- support USB WLAN adapters in order to enable wardriving, OpenTom2OpenTom-Applications
- Provide specs on the new 510/710/910 GO (widescreen) models
- Create a simple but effective and solid MPEG4 video player software for the TomTom One (in the works)
- text mode support for TMC (Traffic Message Channel) (license does not fit but nevertheless interesting: http://www.navifriends.com/phpbbForum/viewforum.php?f=70 )
- package manager for standardized OpenTom-packages (maybe ipkg like on OpenWRT)
- impove car integration via the OBD-II jack
- check if loadstone (a free GPS navigation software) can be (re)used with Tomtom hardware
- port the minimal profile browser such as minimo at http://www.mozilla.org/projects/minimo/
